Now’s the time to help! We need everyone to do their part, especially on the three days of the sale! Please read the announcement and then sign up! If you would rather not use the online sign-up form, no problem – call Norma!! Please deliver items to Norma’s house at 222 E. Andre Ave. starting Wednesday, June 7, and no later than Tuesday, June 13. Be sure the items are clean and serviceable, and if it is a large item price-wise, please indicate what price you think it should be marked. You can drop items off anytime at Norma’s house – leave them on the back porch, or on the covered front porch if it is raining. If you can’t bring the items to her house, or you have an item too large to bring over yourself, please contact Norma to arrange pick-up (989.560.3952; [email protected]). We need volunteers to sort, organize and price Monday-Wednesday, June 12-14 at any time during the day or evening. We need volunteers to staff the sale Thursday-Saturday, June 15-17, in two-hour shifts starting at 8am, with extra volunteers at 7am the first day and noon on Saturday. Please sign up for as often as you would like and can give. Let’s make this a truly all-UUFCM members and friends effort! |
The four candidates for UUFCM Board positions were all approved. Congratulations to Aaron Jones (president-elect), Laurie Meadows (secretary), Monica Jean (two-year trustee), and Kevin Daum (one-year trustee), and thank you all for your willingness to serve!
The proposed 2023-2024 budget was also approved as were the three changes to the bylaws. Thank you to all who voted in the balloting! Don’t forget to attend our annual meeting this Sunday right after the service where we will elect our new Board members, finalize our 2023-2024 budget, approve three bylaws revisions, and celebrate everyone’s involvement in the life of the Fellowship. As well, please save Sunday, June 11, right after the worship service for a special meeting to hear the status of the Article II Amendment proposals in preparation for a straw vote to guide our General Assembly delegates.
UUFCM is looking to hire a new Director of Religious Education and a new Administrative Assistant. If you know anyone interested and qualified, please encourage them to apply, as the best employees sometimes are recruited by word of mouth. UUFCM policy states that we usually do not hire members of the congregation to be employees. Applications and inquiries should go to Rev. Drew. The links to the two job postings are here:
