The March special collection on Sunday, March 20 is for the Isabella County Soup Kitchen, the agency providing meals to those in need. This year, because of the COVID pandemic and the economic situation, the Soup Kitchen has been serving to-go meals three days a week in a drive through/no contact manner. You can donate online to the Social Justice Special Plate Collection Fund at our website or checks can be sent to our treasurer made out to UUFCM with “Soup Kitchen” indicated in the memo line.
While our third Sunday special plate offerings are typically for local agencies and needs, this Sunday our special plate collection will be taken to send to the Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund to help those impacted by the tornados and the weather system on December 11. You can donate online to the Social Justice Special Plate Collection Fund at our website or checks can be made out to UUFCM with “Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund” indicated in the memo line and sent to UUFCM Treasurer, P.O. Box 41, Mt. Pleasant, MI, 48804-0041.
On Sunday, November 21 at 4:30 in a special Zoom message, Drew will explain our congregation's annual celebration of the tradition of Guest at Your Table, a Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) program. If you are at one of the Congregational Harvest Home Meals, you can donate directly in your host’s home, or you can donate either electronically on our website to the Social Justice Fund or by sending a check made out to UUFCM, with UUSC in the memo line, to our treasurer Terrie Robbie, P. O. Box 41, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858-0041. Please donate by November 28.
