Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate wonder last month in our multigenerational exploration of what it means to be a people of mystery. It was a joy to see our board overflowing and to read all the things that can inspire our wonder. In this new year, if you're ever looking for something to fill your thoughts and feed your imagination, we recommend taking some time to wonder and to appreciate life's mysteries. |
Sunday was filled with lots of smiles and songs at Green Acres. Thank you to all our wonderful carolers for bringing some holiday cheer to the Green Acres residents!
On Sunday, December 16th at 12:45 p.m., the RE team will be leading a group of kiddos and those young at heart to carol at Green Acres of Mt. Pleasant. The event is open to the whole congregation. Carolers will meet at the Church at 12:45 p.m. before heading over to the assisted living facility to give a casual singing performance for the residents. If you are interested in singing some holiday tunes for the residents at Green Acres and will need transportation, please contact Kendra at [email protected].
We had a great turnout for our RE Harvest Feast Overnight! Kids got to create their own personal pizzas,
make slime, play games, and top the night off with a movie. We also hope the congregation enjoyed our homemade stone soup, butter, and bread at the Harvest Feast! Overall, we had a fun-filled night and were happy to contribute to Sunday’s feast. Our RE Overnight is this month at UUFCM from Saturday, November 17, 5:30 p.m. - Sunday, November 18, 12:00 p.m.! This event is for kiddos 3rd - 6th grade and will include homemade dinner/dessert, games, and a movie before bed! We will also be making stone soup for the congregation to enjoy at the Harvest Feast on Sunday. If your child(ren) will be able to make it, please contact Kendra Peffers at [email protected] with your child(ren)'s name and whether you would like to contribute an ingredient to the stone soup.
