If you play an instrument, sing, dance, act, perform UU tricks, recite poetry/stories, etc., then we need you.
Thank you for your consideration!

If you play an instrument, sing, dance, act, perform UU tricks, recite poetry/stories, etc., then we need you. Thank you for your consideration! In appreciation and admiration, Laura McBride, 2016 UUFCM Stewardship Chairperson On Saturday, February 21 at 7 p.m. we will enjoy a multigenerational Variety Show as the kick off to our annual Stewardship Drive. Friends and members of all ages will give of their time and talent performing in skits, songs, poetry readings, storytelling and dance. Everybody is invited to this fun event. Feel free to bring your friends. For questions or more information, contact Gisela.
This multi-faceted team is meeting Saturday, February 21st at 10 a.m. in the UU Center. Come join us for an hour long meeting that is comprised of Membership, Caring, Social Fun/Hospitality, Communications, Stewardship, and Fundraising. Many hands make light work, and this is a lovely group of people with whom to collaborate. Questions may be directed to Laura McBride at 772-5512!
You will be happy to know that our stewardship drive was a very successful venture. More than half of the congregants increased their contributions significantly so that we are very close to our goal. If you want to know more of the details, be sure to come to the Annual Meeting on May 18 after the service!
In the meantime, we want to thank all the contributing households for their generosity. Their investments in the future of our fellowship will help us get closer to the fulfillment of our hopes and dreams and are greatly appreciated. Special thanks go to the ambassadors (Norma Bailey, Jim Dealing, Laura Frey, Joyce Henricks and Capalene Howse) and the hosts of the Circle Suppers (Vicki Chessin, Scott Daigle and Cynthia Damer, the Dealings, K'ana Degen, Kris Los, Jen Prout and the Moffits). Thank you also to the participants of the Circle Suppers who provided tasty dishes and libations for the meals. We also want to express our gratitude to our treasurer, Ricky Courlander, who did an outstanding job keeping track of the pledges and donors. Last, but not least, a big thank you to the stewardship co-chairs, Vicki Chessin and Gisela Moffit, who organized and re-organized - and kept a cool head throughout the sometimes turbulent adventure. A few weeks ago, all members and many friends of UUFCM received letters from the stewardship committee which included information about our stewardship drive, the proposed budget and pledge cards (in green). We hope you read all materials carefully, reflected deeply on what you can contribute to the fellowship and bring your pledge sheet to the circle supper or send it directly to our treasurer, Ricky Courlander (PO Box 41, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48804-0041) by this Saturday, April 19. Thank you in advance for your generous gifts.
