Lunch will be provided; please contact Norma Bailey ([email protected], 989-560-3952) if you need child care. A progress report of the third meeting is available here on our website.
Be sure to put Sunday, April 27, 12:30-2:00 p.m. on your calendar for the fourth of our four congregational meetings about the transition process. We will be considering the topic “How Do We Choose?: Setting Priorities for Our Future.” This will be a workshop in which we identify the values that are core to who we are and who we want to be so that we can establish our next steps to our future.
Lunch will be provided; please contact Norma Bailey ([email protected], 989-560-3952) if you need child care. A progress report of the third meeting is available here on our website. All members and many friends of UUFCM should have gotten a letter from the stewardship committee this week which included information about our stewardship drive, our proposed budget and a pledge card (in green). We hope you read all materials carefully, reflect deeply on what you can contribute to the fellowship and bring your pledge sheet to a circle supper or send it directly to our treasurer, Ricky Courlander (PO Box 41, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48804-0041). Thank you in advance for your generous gifts.
If you did not receive the green sheet in your letter, let Gisela know or print out the pledge card. Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused you. If you missed signing up for a Circle Supper, you will have another chance. All the Circle Suppers in private homes are filled, but there are still some openings at the UU Center on Saturday, April 12 at 6 p.m. Childcare will be provided. Please let Gisela Moffit (772-1602 or [email protected]) know how many adults and children will come and how many children will need child care so that we have enough caretakers. The deadline is this Sunday, April 6.
Circle Suppers are great opportunities to get together with other UUs, eat a delicious meal together and share your ideas about what the fellowship means to you and how we can support it with our donations of time, talent, and money. We are in a process of transition, so it is a perfect time to weigh in with your thoughts and help shape our future direction. On April 20 we will welcome new members to our fellowship. If you are ready to join us and have not declared your intention, let Gisela or Rev. Joe know. If the date conflicts with your schedule, let us also know as there is another welcome ceremony being planned for April or May.
The “Path to Membership” class which had to be cancelled in February will be offered on Sunday, March 16th at 1:00 p.m. at the UU Center. If you are interested in learning more about the history of Unitarianism and Universalism, the history of our fellowship, our 7 Principles, governance structure and how you can get involved to make a difference, come to this special event. Rev. Joe Cleveland and Membership chair Gisela Moffit will be the facilitators. Contact them if you are coming and if you need child care by March 9th.
