UUFCM members and friends, please plan to attend this Sunday! In addition to a brief Fellowship Life discussion, there will be a special business meeting to learn the recommendation by the board to enroll in the UU Common Endowment Fund. Your voice and vote are needed.
If you are a newcomer to out fellowship - or perhaps have been around for a while – and would like to learn more about this fellowship and UUism as a whole, our next “Welcome to UU” class is scheduled for Sunday, November 29 following worship at 12:15 p.m. These classes are being offered every month, typically on the 4th Sunday, but due to our annual Harvest Feast being held on November 22, we’ve moved the class to the 29th.
This multi-faceted team is meeting Saturday, February 21st at 10 a.m. in the UU Center. Come join us for an hour long meeting that is comprised of Membership, Caring, Social Fun/Hospitality, Communications, Stewardship, and Fundraising. Many hands make light work, and this is a lovely group of people with whom to collaborate. Questions may be directed to Laura McBride at 772-5512!
Are you interested in finding out more about our fellowship and how to become a member? If you are, you are invited to the next orientation class which will be offered on Sunday, October 19 from 1 - 3 p.m. at the UU Center. You will learn more about the history of Unitarian Universalism, its principles and sources, the history of our fellowship, our governance structure, ministries and expectations. Class will be facilitated by UUFCM minister, Dawn Daniels, and past board president, Gisela Moffit. Please let Gisela (772-1602; gbmoffit@gmail) know if you are coming and if you need child care. We look forward to hearing from you.
There are two items for your participation. We need a membership vote to elect Chris Bailey as a co-Treasurer to the board. His primary role is to fill in with counting Sunday plate collection, making deposits, paying staff and bills when our primary Treasurer, David Macleod is unavailable. Secondly, we will provide an opportunity for a Q & A with our minister, Dawn Daniels. She debuts this Sunday in the pulpit. She is looking forward to hearing our questions!
