Movie Night is every second Saturday at 7 p.m. at the UU Center. The movie for April 13 is "The Royal Affair", (Danish, 2012), and was nominated for an Academy Award in the Foreign Film category. In 18th century Denmark, a triangle: the young, unstable king, Christian IV; his idealistic queen, Mathilde; and the King's physician and adviser, Struensee, an Enlightenment intellectual. The efforts of Mathilde and Struensee to reform the country, in spite of the King, result in a dramatic mix of politics, philosophy, romance and incipient feminism.

The movie for March 9th will be the 2011 documentary First Position, a beautiful, intense and compelling exploration of the world of aspiring young ballet dancers, coming from remarkable circumstances to participate in a make or break ballet competition.
